“Endearing. Enchanting. This movie has the Christmas spirit in abundance.” K Strouse, Film enquiry

Elf is a magical Christmas tale that’s fun for the whole family!

Starring Will Ferrell and James Caan, it tells the story of Buddy, an orphan baby who accidentally stows away in Santa’s sack of gifts one Christmas Eve. Mistakenly flown back to the North Pole, he is adopted and raised by Papa Elf.

As he grows up Buddy doesn’t realise he’s different – even when he can’t take the toy-making pace. But after 30 years, he wises up to the fact that he’s human and sets off to find his real dad in New York City.

His dad, Walter Hobbs, is unfortunately a cynical businessman. A miserly children’s book publisher, he is definitely on Santa’s naughty list and in desperate need of some Christmas spirit.

Walter reluctantly attempts to start a relationship with his childlike son. Buddy tries to teach his dad the true meaning of Christmas and to prove to everyone that Santa really does exist…..with increasingly chaotic results! (97mins)

With a festive soundtrack, featuring Frank Sinatra, Ella Fitzgerald and Louis Prima this is a must see film, which the whole family can enjoy.

“A movie full of Yuletide cheer.”

A merry Christmas to all and a huge thank you for your continued support for our Community Cinema.
