‘No Time to Die’ concludes Daniel Craig’s franchise tenure in satisfying style.

Daniel Craig returns one last time in his fifth and final instalment as the spy 007, James Bond. Starring alongside a host of stars including Oscar Winner Rami Malek, Naomie Harris as ‘Moneypenny’ and Ben Whishaw as ‘Q’, fans can expect all the usual action, excitement and adventure.

Following an opening haunting soundtrack from Billie Eilish, the engaging plot manages to tie together his previous appearances. After leaving active service, Bond is enjoying a tranquil life in Jamaica. However, his peace is short-lived as his old CIA friend, Felix Leiter, shows up and asks for help. The mission, to rescue a kidnapped scientist turns out to be far more treacherous than expected, leading Bond on the trail of a mysterious villain who’s armed with a dangerous new technology.

Mark Kermode praises Craig’s portrayal as Bond, impressed with how he has “made the role his own.” Alongside all the action, the plotline manages to weave in loss, sense of pain and personal consequence. Craig’s Bond “embodies the complexity of his character in terms of brutality and fragility. The film is a fitting tribute to his tenure.” (2hrs 43mins)
