‘They’ll never get caught, they’re on a mission from God.’

John Belushi and Dan Aykroyd star as Jake and Elwood Blues, two blues musicians on a ‘mission from God’ in this hilarious comedy.

After his release from prison, Jake learns that the orphanage where the brothers grew up is threatened with closure. It owes over $5,000 in tax, which must be paid within 11 days. The brothers decide to put their R&B band back together and try to raise the money, by staging a big gig. As they set off on their “mission from God” havoc ensues, as they seem to make more enemies, including the police, along the way. Will they manage to come up with the money in time?

First released in 1980 ‘The Blues Brothers’ has become a legendary, iconic movie. Belushi and Aykroyd’s charisma is irresistible, as they play off each other with nearly flawless timing.

Directed and co-written by John Landis, it has a killer soundtrack and features cameo appearances from James Brown, Aretha Franklin, and Ray Charles! Belushi and Aykroyd’s charisma is irresistible. As they play off each other with nearly flawless timing.

‘A classic ’80s comedy with soul, wildly entertaining and full of laughs!’(2hrs 10 mins)

Keith’s political views were well known, as was his union activity, being a NUT (National Union of Teachers) rep for many years. So in view of the current cost of living crisis, we felt it only fitting to have all profits from his charity film this year go to the Worth Valley Food Bank. We ask that you bring one or more items with you on the night to donate directly to the food bank. Collecting buckets will be located throughout the church.

Free drink on arrival and maybe a prize for best dressed if you’re lucky!
